This website is a portfolio and contact page for MAKA Studio, an independent design and development studio. It is not a shop and not an application. It has no forms, no accounts and no payments, so in ordinary use it collects nothing about you at all. This page explains that in full, including the two places where information does change hands.
The short version.
We do not set cookies. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or session recording. We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not gather any through this site. If you write to us, we read what you sent and reply to it. That is the whole of it.
Who is responsible
This website is operated by MAKA Studio, an independent studio. MAKA Studio is the party responsible for the choices described on this page. You can reach us through any channel listed under How to reach us.
What this website collects
Directly, nothing. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no login, no shopping cart and no comment section. There is nowhere on this site for you to type anything, so there is nothing for us to receive from you by using it.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It uses no local storage, no session storage and no browser fingerprinting. It runs no analytics service, no advertising network, no remarketing tag, no heatmap and no session recorder. There is nothing on this site that follows you to another one, which is also why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Third parties
The pages of this site load their fonts, images and film frames from this site's own domain. No part of the page requests anything from another company's servers, so simply reading this site does not disclose your address or your browser to anyone but our host.
Our host
The site is hosted on Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify records standard server logs when a page is requested: the IP address that asked for it, the time, the page, and the browser's user agent string. Those logs exist so the service can be delivered and defended against abuse. They are handled under Netlify's own privacy policy, and we do not use them to build a profile of anyone.
Links out
Two links leave this site: our Instagram profile, and a WhatsApp link. Following either takes you to a service run by Meta Platforms under its own terms and privacy policy. We have no control over what those services collect, and we suggest you read their policies if that matters to you. Nothing is sent to them until you click.
If you contact us
When you write to us, by WhatsApp or by email, we receive whatever you chose to send: your name if you gave it, the phone number or address you wrote from, and the content of your message.
We use it for one purpose, which is to answer you and, if it goes further, to discuss and carry out the work. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.
Messages sent over WhatsApp travel through Meta's service and are subject to its privacy policy as well as ours. If you would rather not use it, write by email instead.
We keep correspondence for as long as the conversation or the project it belongs to is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Ask us to delete your correspondence and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy, and to object to how it is used. Residents of California may also ask whether their personal information has been sold or shared. It has not been, and it will not be.
To exercise any of those rights, write to us. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking, and we will answer within a reasonable time.
Children
This site sells professional services to businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so what passes between your browser and it is encrypted. Correspondence is kept in ordinary business accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes in a way that changes this page, for example if a contact form or analytics is ever added, this page will be updated before that goes live and the date at the top will change with it.
